The Moorestown Field Club has six of the nicest outdoor courts in South Jersey. Two courts are underground watered Har-Tru that keeps the surface in prime playing condition throughout the season. Our other four courts were recently resurfaced and have new nets as well as state of the art California fencing. There are also two pickle ball courts. All courts have new windscreens to help with visibility and wind blockage during breezy days. In between the courts is a tennis house and nice covered patio area with plenty of seating for relaxing before and after play. Also available to members is a new Playmate ball machine with remote control and stationed directly next to a hard court.

Program Overview

The Moorestown Field Club tennis program is regarded as one of the finest in South Jersey. Our programs are fitted to handle beginners to tournament players. Our programs run 12 months of the year.

Adult Programs:

Monday through Friday morning drills are for ladies on teams and players of various levels. Members are given preference into the drills, but non-members may also participate for an additional fee. Drills are fast paced with instruction on strokes and strategy. There is a good level coed drill on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. A beginner adult drill is held Tuesday evenings.

Private lessons are also available for those just beginning to play or if you are looking to work on your game and make some technical changes. Lessons can be one on one, couples, or doubles teams.

Members Doubles Play:

Arranged doubles play is held two mornings a week. A higher-level mixed doubles play is held one evening a week.

Ladies teams:

MFC has three teams playing in the Philadelphia Interclub Spring League and two teams in the South Jersey Summer League.

Junior Program:

The junior program is held all year. It is two days during the school year and three during the summer. Ages range from 8-18. This is a great program dividing our juniors into three groups – 6th grade and under: 7th/8th grade and high school players. Many of our players play throughout the year and many play for the local high school teams.

Special Events:

Ladies Member/Guest – Round robin play with lunch.   Evening mixers – Member round robin play with cocktail party Club Tournament: This is a member event starts September and includes Ladies Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Men’s singles.

Mike has been our tennis director for over 10 years bringing with him 30 years of experience including a top five sectional ranking, four years Division 1 college play, national play and coaching many South Jersey high school players to college scholarships. Mike is regarded as one of the top coaches in the tri-state area and advocates a warm friendly instructional atmosphere welcoming all players. Mike’s three sons have all played college level tennis and assist in the program. Mike also provides racket sales, restringing and regripping.
